Last Updated 05/30/98 At the north portion of the San Juan Islands is Sucia Island. One of my favorite spots is a small harbor called Snoring Bay. There is two anchoring buoy's there and one is almost always open. From this anchorage you can take the dingy ashore and walk over much of the island. Below is some photos taken last year while visiting with Dick and Margaret Calkins. We seen more eagles at the entrance to Snoring Bay than I can ever remember seeing at one time. That afternoon, when we went ashore, we found they were feeding on a seal carcass. To view the entire image just click on the thumbnail.
