Last Updated 05/30/98 Vancouver has weather very similar to Seattle as evident from the first photo of Vancouver from sea. While visiting Vancouver I almost always anchor out in False Creek. The main reasons I anchor out here is that guest slips in Vancouver are very hard to find and anchoring out is very cheap; like free! Of course, when you anchor out, there is the necessity of going and coming via the dingy. The second photo is John Backlund and I going from Grandville Island to the Easy III. The third picture is John and Darlene Backlund who had come for a visit via Amtrak. We were joined by their good friend Pat Johnston who lives in Vancouver and showed us a great fish and chips place. We had a little more sun while departing False Creek; heading over to Texada Island where we would visit with Don and Fay Johnson, Darlene's brother and his wife. Hit Counter |
